In 2011 the Bristol Motor Club, in partnership with the National Trust, celebrated a very special triple anniversary at Dyrham Park, near Bath. It was 50 years since the National Trust took over the Estate; it was 50 years since the Bristol Motor Club held the first speed hillclimb there, and it all coincided with the Club’s Centenary Year.

It was fitting, therefore, that to mark the occasion the Club organised a three-way reunion: between some of the drivers from the 60s, their cars, and the unique atmosphere of Dyrham Park. On an un-characteristically hot October day, over 120 cars – like those that were used for competition in the 1960s – converged on this beautiful parkland, along with thousands of enthusiastic visitors. The assembled cars made a spectacular display and all the drivers were offered the chance of an escorted run up the drive that formed the hillclimb course 50 years earlier. Drivers and spectators alike revelled once again in the sight, smell and sound of motorsport in the Park.

1st Take were there to record the action, and through this DVD have helped to recreate the Spirit Of The 60s.atmosphere of Dyrham Park.
