Description

The East Coast of England was served by the lines that united to form the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER), one of the greatest railway companies of all time. Famous trains such as the Flying Scotsman, Silver Jubilee and the Queen of Scots often ran along its metals. In contrast, the LNER’s railways in East Anglia were built to serve land which has changed little over the years – and the railways reflected this timeless appeal.
