D.G. AMPHLETT, who lives in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, is an historian who has studied the history of the West Country for many years. He has an MA degree in history and is currently undertaking research in preparation for a Phd. During his undergraduate years at the University of Wales, Lampeter, he ran the university’s History Society.
