Delight in some stunning views of the North Wales coast, as we are never far from the often tempestuous waters of the Irish Sea. We travel on a Class 175 TfW Corradia, crossing the River Dee on our way out of the city before heading north-west for Prestatyn. The historic water crossings of the River Conwy and the Menai Straits remain the most interesting and challenging parts of the line.

This Cab Ride on the Chester & Holyhead Railway journeys along the North Wales coast, never far from the often tempestuous waters of the Irish Sea. We travel on a Class 175 TfW Corradia, crossing the River Dee on our way out of the city before heading north-west for Prestatyn. Many of the North Wales holiday resorts lie along our route, but from a railway perspective the historic water crossings of the River Conwy and the Menai Straits are the most interesting and challenging parts of the line.
