Disc 1: THE SEVERN VALLEY & THE COTSWOLDS: We travel from Bridgnorth in the north to Oxford, city of dreaming spires in the south. Our rail journey passes through the heart of it all with preserved steam lines, inter-city trains, modern turbo units plus the only inland cliff railway.

Disc 2: SOUTH WEST SCOTLAND: We take a delightful train journey through the south west of Scotland with its towns and villages, craggy hillsides and castles, streams and lakes and harbours and beaches.

Disc 3: SOUTH WALES AND THE BORDERS: Hop aboard as we start our bucolic journey at the English border in Shrewsbury, a splendid county town with its imposing castle and innumerable listed buildings before heading out of town, on a journey that takes us all the way to Pembroke.

Disc 4: WEST COAST OF SCOTLAND: We take a delightful train journey through the south west of Scotland with its towns and villages, craggy hillsides and castles, streams and lakes and harbours and beaches.

Disc 5: THE PEAK DISTRICT: Take in the beauty of the English countryside aboard a series of different locomotives beginning on the Huddersfield Line as it skirts the northern edge of the Peak District, then to Edale, Peveril Castle, Chatsworth House and on to the spa towns of Buxton and Matlock.

Disc 6: THE LAKE DISTRICT: Climb aboard a sprinter for one of the greatest railway journeys in the country: a circuit of Cumbria and the Lake District. Starting at Carnforth we head out on EMUs to Windermere, Kendal, Bowness, Ambleside and Eskdale.

Disc 7: WEYMOUTH TO ISLE OF WIGHT: Travelling by train along the English south coast is one of the best ways to experience and enjoy the great British countryside, combining popular resorts with beautiful scenery.

Disc 8: EAST ANGLIA: Join us as we travel through some of England’s finest countryside, the low-lying region of East Anglia. The region plays host to historic towns and villages, fens, broads, miles of magnificent coastline and a great deal more.

Disc 9: THE NORTH EAST: This programme takes us through some of the country’s most breathtaking scenery. With the splendour of the Esk Valley and the dramatic climb into the North York Moors, this is one of the great railway journeys.

Disc 10: NORTH WALES: Join us as we take in the spectacular scenery on this journey along the North Wales coast. It’s an experience never to be forgotten with majestic cliffs, bustling towns, historic castles and sweeping beaches.

Disc 11: THE SOUTH WEST: To travel by train from Exeter to Penzance, Britain’s most southerly railway station, is a journey never to be forgotten, with dramatic coastal scenery and beautiful rolling countryside.

Disc 12: NORTHERN ENGLAND: To travel along the Settle to Carlisle line is to experience one of the most wonderful train journeys of the world. Passing along England’s wild Pennine backbone there is plenty to see and discover: not just scenery and steam trains but also rich heritage, castles and houses.
