This DVD was filmed in the summer of 1995 and features all eight narrow gauge members of The Great Little Trains of Wales – Bala Lake Railway, Brecon Mountain Railway, Ffestiniog Railway, Llanberis Lake Railway, Talyllyn Railway, Vale of Rheidol Railway, Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog) and Welshpool and Llanfair Railway. Beautiful countryside – filmed in stunning weather!

All the Great Little Trains, in their glory of brass and shining paintwork, a unique collection of narrow gauge railways shown to the very best advantage in summer sunshine. About “Great Little Trains of Wales” This 15th GWP railway video was filmed in the summer of 1995 and features all 8 members of the Great Little Trains of Wales: BALA LAKE RAILWAY; BRECON MOUNTAIN RAILWAY; FFESTINIOG RAILWAY; LLANBERIS LAKE RAILWAY; TALLYLLYN RAILWAY; VALE OF RHEIDOL RAILWAYS; WELSH HIGHLAND RAILWAY (Portmadog) and WELSHPOOL AND LLANFAIR RAILWAY. These narrow-gauge steam railways all run in dramatic countryside and were filmed in beautiful weather. They are all preserved and operate as major tourist attractions but they were mainly constructed as industrial railways, many to server the erstwhile slate industry. Researched and written by Peter van Zeller, narrated by Richard Rees and edited on professional Sony broadcast equipment by Jeff Freestone the programme was directed by Graham Whistler FBIPP FRPS.
