Scenes from the Manchester Metrolink light rail system featuring trams of all 3 classes currently in service, the T68 introduced in 1992, the T68A, delivered in 1999 for the Eccles route and the Bombardier M5000 class introduced in 2008 for the new extensions to Oldham/Rochdale and St. Werburgh’s Road. The T68’s are currently being withdrawn and the T68A’s will be gone by 2014, the fleet will then consist only of M5000 trams. This film is divided into 3 parts, part 1 features Manchester city centre, street running between St. Peters Square and Victoria station and the line from Piccadilly Gardens to Piccadilly station. Part 2 features the lines from Victoria station to Bury and Oldham Mumps and part 3 is film of the lines in South Manchester to Eccles, Altrincham and St. Werburgh’s Road. Wide screen, PAL UK system, total running time 82 minutes. No commentary, subtitles, enjoy the sights and sounds of Manchester trams in action.
