Prehistoric tracks, bronze age stone circles, iron-age hill-forts, Roman roads, medieval castles, stately homes, dry-stone walls, deserted mines, thriving market towns and spectacular reservoirs are all evidence of our physical contributions to the Peak District that we know today.
